'What is worship but a sharing of life, concern, anxiety and celebration.' If it is any of these things, then it must have the space to reflect who we are, challenge what we have become and create space to grow into what we will be. To do that, worship much be relevant to and for the Whole People of God. Hymns must make sense, words must be understood and glow with the mystery, actions must have purpose and everyone must be part of what happens. We want to allow that to happen and do so by giving everyone the opportunity of airing their views on what has and hasn't worked in worship: to comment on the hymns, prayers, actions, sermons and allow a whole congregation of God's People redesign worship to meet all our needs. It is a discussion based time of creativity where everyone is supported and the God who made us creative beings is set loose. We allow that creativity to enable our worship to speak, be refreshed, renewed and to climb out of any rut we've made a bit too comfortable. It is what worship was designed for.
