The wind screeched in protest as it
hurled through the streets of
Fraserburgh, driving the freezing sleet
and snow horizontally into the faces of
the lonely travellers.  This was indeed
a bad summer day but they would
battle on until they reached their
destination and achieved their goal                The year was 1953. This was the
year of change, a year of achievement,
Mount Everest would be conquered, a
new queen would sit on the throne and
songs like
" How Much is that Doggie in the Window"
Would be proclaimed a number one hit.
Surely anything could be achieved

So it was that on 27th March in the year 1953 at a meeting in the Photographic Society Rooms at Frithside Street in Fraserburgh, the
constitution of the
Fraserburgh Junior Arts Society
was put to paper.

     WE HAD ARRIVED.
