Forth Coastguard
Serving the Eastern seaboard of Scotland

Welcome to Forth MRCC

Forth Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Center is situated at the extreme point of land in the Kingdom of Fife. The location is called Fifeness, just outside Crail

Forth MRCC's district extends from Doonies point, just sout of Aberdeen down to near the Scottish/English border. From the coastline we cover out as far as 0 degress E/W (The Greenwich meridian) The station was built in the 1970's and was to be the forerunner of all future Coastguard stations however only Forth was built in these lines.

HM Coastguard is part of the Maritime & Coastguard agency, amalgamating with the MSA to form the MCA. We deal with a range of tasks, however our main one is the Co-ordination of all Civil and Maritime incidents within the United Kingdom these include such things as mud rescue, cliff rescue and searching for missing persons. Read more about the work we do in the MRCC section later.

We hope to promote safety while you visit Forth District, making your visit or holiday both enjoyable and memorable. With your assistance we can ensure that Forth District is both safe and that we minimise any risk of danger or pollution to our coastline.
