So we gathered at the Bystander, Wootton nr Abingdon with a varied selection of VW's ready for the trip down the M4. At this point my camera batteries gave out and I was dispatched to the corner-shop for some fresh ones. Those batteries were flat too....hence the limited number of photo's...but there is enough to show we were there :)

With us on the run was: Angus and his lad in the T25, Darren & family in the Westphalia, Kevin and daughter Caitlin who likes to try out all the cars :), Dave Annouska & Fin, Naomi, Richard in the Mk4 Golf and myself and Gill in the Karmann.

Due to a mix up on arrival, our convoy of VW's got separated but here are three of us in the same line.

Darren's Westphalia, has to be the conversion to get, though in 1972 VW decreed that there would only be two official convertors in UK.......Westphalia and Devon for reasons of safety.
