The cottage is situated on the B8009 road near the Glenbrittle junction. The Cuillins at Glenbrittle and Sligachan are only 8 miles away, and there are pleasant moorland and coastal walks from the cottage. There is a village shop, petrol, Post Office and licenced hotel nearby at Carbost (1/2 mile) and also a slipway for launching boats onto Loch Harport. There are sandy beaches at Glenbrittle, Talisker and Fiscaviag. From the cottage there are panoramic views down Loch Harport with magnificent sunsets during the summer months. | |

The accommodation, all on one floor, consists of a fully equipped kitchen/dining area with electric cooker and fridge, etc. The comfortably furnished lounge has an electric fire and television. The bathroom has bath, shower, wash hand basin, wc and shaver point. Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with ample storage space, the larger one has a double bed and the smaller one has adult size bunkbeds. Duvets are provided. Electricity is provided by a 50p slot meter at standard rates and everything except linen (sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers) is provided. These can be provided free of charge on request. As the cottage has several steps to the door it is unsuitable for the disabled. Regrettably no pets allowed. This is a non-smoking property. |
