Eyam, Derbyshire, FM log 4/9/2005

Most stations logged on a hill overlooking Eyam (near Highcliffe), from approx 18:00 onwards.

Stations in Bold also heard in the car park opposite Eyam Museum (approx 14:00 to 14:10). Please note: I didn't check all of the band while in the car park, so just because a station ain't listed in bold doesn't mean it ain't receivable there!

RDS field Bold only if RDS could be displayed while in the car park, also

On 87.9, two stations were competing with each other. I just about managed to ID Derwent FM (the stronger of the two), the other was in the background playing house / urban music. IDing either was the Devil's own job because each was plagued (no pun intended!) by interference from the other.

In the case of Peak FM, the 102.0 frequency was obviously the stronger of the two; my radio stayed very briefly on 107.4 before auto-retuning to 102.0.

Radio Cymru 104.3 was in Welsh at the time.

Finally, if you ever visit Eyam, it's well worth tearing yourself away from the radio for a few hours to check out the place, especially the Eyam Museum.
