This is by no means a complete log, as I was walking along
the top of Kinder Scout (which is more of a "plateau" than a mountain) with
my radio.
Being the highest mountain in the Peak District, it is not
surprizing that so many stations can be heard. At the part nearest to Edale,
both Hallam FM and Viking FM were received with my radio signal
meter indicating full strength. At the same point, Sheffield pirate Millennium
FM was giving a very strong signal. Radio aside, views could be obtained
of Manchester, Jodrell Bank, and even the Welsh mountains !
At different points of the peak of Kinder Scout, different
stations could be heard - especially noticed on 87.7, where both the
Sheffield pirate Millennium FM and the RSL Rich FM were heard.
