Teresa's
unique method of combining felted knitting with appliqué and
embroidery results in a range of highly wearable and richly coloured
hats, jackets and accessories. Inspiration comes from many sources.
American and European Folk Art, modern painters, such as
Klimt and Klee,
and travel to places such as Italy and Russia where mosaics, gardens,
museums and architecture have captured her eye. Hearts, stars, trees,
birds and flowers are a constant theme.
Colour is Teresa's main love and she constantly tries to evolve
new colourways. Hot pinks, reds and oranges, opulent blues and purples,
emerald and leaf greens are all prominent. To add a final touch,
jackets and accessories feature hand carved buttons in the shape
of fish, birds, hands, hearts and bugs which she imports from Nepal.
