What is Void 1.1?

Void is a table top war game in a manga inspired science fiction reality, where human factions struggle with each other for supremacy and against the encroachment of a terrible alien foe. The game itself is a fast paced turn about system that rewards the tactically resourceful commander and destroys those that try for the frontal assault tactic.

Void is as much a hobby as a game and the dedicated void player will likely spend hours painting and in many cases converting his models for use in his army. So at the very least, even if you lose a game you can have the satisfaction of the best looking most unique army on the battlefield.

VASA Biker Sergeant, painted by the talented Dr. Digby and donated by i-Kore to the Aberdeen Void League as part of the first prize for the 'Last Stand' Campaign.

How do I get started?

The Deva vs a V.A.S.A. Archangel, a battle of good vs evil, angel vs devil. Both miniatures painted by Dr. Digby.

You can't play Void by yourself, like almost any game on the market you must have an opponent to play against and preferably more than one, because playing the same person again and again can get dull (particularly if you always lose!). To get started buy (or download) a copy of the rulebook, give it a read and lend it to some friends to get them interested.

Next you need to get an army, i-Kore produce a boxed starter army of each faction so I recommend you get one of these to start off with. You don't need to paint them straight away but it adds a lot to the feel of the game. Until you can buy or build your own terrain use a pile of magazines to represent hills and cover it with a suitable tablecloth. Now your ready to play a couple of games, initially play will progress slowly, but once you get used to the rules you can play a 500 point game in under an hour.
