Mistakes Test

The Edexcel Aural test for candidates taking 'A' level music in 2001, contains a test such as the one below.

There are 14 differences in the music below when compared to the version you will hear.  In the exam there will only be about 9 for you to spot.  I suggest you right click and save the MIDI file so you can do the test off line.  Go to the music.

The mistakes are as followed (I hope I have not missed any!)

1 1 2 3rd semiquaver was G natural
2 2 1 Last 2 notes were even quavers
3 3 3 First semiquaver was F# not C#
4 4 2 B semiquaver was replaced by the F# (above)
5 4 1 Last semiquaver was an A
6 5 3 Last note was D natural
7 6 3 First 2 notes were even quavers.
8 6 3 G# was played instead of G natural (penultimate note)
9 8 1 3rd semiquaver was D
10 8 3 The quaver A was played as 2 semiquavers an octave apart, starting with the upper and jumping down.
11 10 3 2nd beat rhythm was semiquaver, quaver, semiquaver
12 11 3 Last note was an E
13 12 1 Last semiquaver of 1st beat was an A not an E
14 13 1 & 2 The second beat began with a triplet of semiquavers.
