Class Listening sheet

I first put this page on the web in 2000 following a literacy day at school.  What you see below is still the original draft form.  If any teachers would like to pilot it and let me have their feedback I should be grateful.

I have used the sheet myself a couple of times and found it heavy going, as did the pupils.  It would be fine for a bright GCSE class perhaps.

Pitch - How high or low the sounds are.

Duration - How long sounds are held.
                 The mixture of different note values to make a rhythm.

Tempo or Pace - The speed of the music. very, slow, fast, quick, sluggish, moderate, speeds up, slows down, rallentando, accelerando
 
 
 
Timbre - The tone quality or instruments used in the music. bright, dull, brilliant, hollow, string, wood, metal, reed, contrast, teams, foreground, background.
