The setting below is one I
composed on 11th April 2001.
It was used during the Evensongs
sung by the OUCC
in August 2001.
In the course of typesetting this, I found that in 3/4 time (look at bar 21), when the Soprano is silent but the Alto has some notes, FINALE 2001b will not allow one to use a semibreve rest. Although that is the standard sign for a blank bar, FINALE thinks it is worth 4 beats and will not let you use it. (This is despite the fact that in totally blank 3/4 bars, the correct rest does appear!) I got round this problem by making the problem bar a 4/4 bar and hiding the time-signature and the entries on the 4th beat. If you download this file and want to adjust it, be warned.
