Garden Layout Plan

Field Farm Garden stands about 700' above sea level and is laid out to take advantage of the glorious distant views and to merge with the surrounding countryside.


Around 2 acres of garden has been gradually planted since 1982 with native and specimen trees and shrubs, herbaceous borders, alpine beds, around 200 varieties of roses, clematis, camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas, hardy fuchsias and much more to ensure colour and interest throughout the year. There is awoodland walk and wildflower meadow.

The Garden surrounds the house and adjacent redundant farm buildings and courtyard. The garden plan below shows the main areas of the garden :
