A Year in the Garden

MAY

The first rose to flower is Canary Bird at the gate - it's charming single yellow flowers and feathery foliage welcome visitors. The whole garden has come alive again with fresh green leaves and newly mown lawns. Clematis Montana is spectacular on the fence and pergola and scent drifts over the garden from the white honeysuckle on the garage wall, mingled with that of the wallflowers. In the yard the Alpines are colourful in their pots and many of the flowering shrubs are in bloom.
