This is what he said in the first book of his autobiography,
Visions of Another World:

'I have stood on the he mountaintops of the Shining Lands
and experienced countless Visions of Other Worlds beyond death,
and I am not afraid to die; for death is the great liberator,
the bright angel who leads all livings things into an eternal life
which is their natural birthright.'
