CRUMMY STUFF

1986, The Ramones record another album stacked full of pop hits, 'Animal Boy'.
The first single off it 'somebody put something in my drink' is almost a hit so they release another single in Britain, 'Crummy Stuff' which according to legend was written by Dee Dee while having a bath
The packaging is based on the video for 'something to believe in', a piss take of the self righteous self publicising sham that was 'we are the world' and 'Hands Across America' the American versions of 'live aid'
Adverts in the music press, free biscuits used as a promotional marketing tool and a bonus track co-written by Dee Dee and Sid Vicious from beyond the grave for the film 'Sid and Nancy', but their management wont let it be used in the movie
And, with the usual Ramones luck, it gets no airplay and isn't a hit, not even close
Crummy Stuff indeed
