July 2002, me and the burd go on a rock and roll holiday to the East coast USA

We check out Marah in their hometown of Philly, we see Paul Westerberg playing the first night of his solo tour in Buffalo and we miss Manitobas Wild Kingdom in New York City thanks to our plane being unable to land due to a thunderstorm, but we do manage to get totally wrecked in the handsome ones bar the next night

I had intended seeing if Arty was home the next day, but the hangover was too intense and we had to move on the day after that so it never happened, but here's my best holiday snaps anyway

Yup, its still there, I saw 2 bands and drank 4 Heinekens and felt sick the next morning - top tip - stick to the vodka, the measures are good

The whole area is undergoing gentrification and I don't know if it is a good or bad thing - it was definitely a bad thing for my photo with all that scaffolding in the road

I mean, its nice to have a restaurant round the corner, but where are the bums going to go when all the flophouses are closed ?
