The Nomads
It's the year 2000, the
Nomads have recorded another great album 'BIG SOUND 2000' and one of the songs is so hot, it has to be a singleBut how can they improve it ?
Brilliant idea, get two New York legends to sing backing vocals on it
And so it came to pass, Handsome Dick Manitoba (from the
Dictators) and Joey Ramone go into the studio with Daniel Rey and do what they do best and this is the result
This single is pretty hard to find nowadays, but you can get the single version on the new Nomads retrospective
Showdown Vol 2 - the Nineties
One thing that hasn't been re-released elsewhere (yet) is
Ronnie Spectors single which has her singing 2 Ramones songs ('Bye bye baby' is a duet with Joey), Brian Wilsons 'Don't worry baby' which he wrote for Ronnie and Johnny Thunders 'You cant put your arms around a memory', all top stuff
