When Joey died Jari-Pekka Laito-Ramone organised a book called "Heaven needed a lead singer"

After Dee Dee died, he had to do another one, its called "Rock in Peace" and it's a great read

Its got interviews with Tommy Ramone, Marky Ramone, Arturo Vega and Daniel Rey and many others such as Leonard Phillips of the Dickies and Howlin' Pelle from the Hives

Larry from AMP records http://www.amprecords.com/ had the good idea to record a tribute CD to go with the book where all the songs are about Joey or Dee Dee or the Ramones, so I got my band together "Shock and Awe" and wrote a tune for them and sent the rough demo off to Larry - luckily he liked it and I set about re-recording the vocals and mixing it to sound more professional

Unfortunately there was some mix up during the mastering of the CD and the rough demo version made it on to the album and it doesn't sound that great, especially when compared to other tracks on it such as Jesus H. Presley - Have You Seen Dee Dee Ramone - an instant classic
