Very comfortable, good friendship and food

Dear Barbara and John
We stayed at your place one night late in September and John very kindly provided us with detailed maps showing how to get to a variety of places , namely Lullingstone Roman Villa, Knole and Chartwell as  well as another trip to Rye, Sissinghurst and Battle.
Heartfelt thanks for those - I don’t think that we would have found Lullingstone without your map and the map was so good we were there half an hour before it opened..  We thought that it was really very interesting and the autoguide made it particularly real and alive.  All the other places were interesting and beautiful - Sissinghurst was the highlight that we hoped it would be.  Rye was  picturesque and we had a lovely walk around the town centre so thank you for the recommendations - we wouldn’t have gone there otherwise.
Thank you for your hospitality - Alan said that your eggs were the best we had on the trip Barbara.
We have been very busy since getting back and I have been meaning
for some time to let you know how useful the maps  were.  I hope that
you are both well and that the business is flourishing.  Thank you again.
