
Cuboree 96
Cuboree 1996 was organised by Cornwall County Scout Council and was held at the Royal Cornwall Showground at Wadebridge in July.
The camp included Cub packs from Cornwall and Devon area, as well as group from further afield in the British Isles. Four Groups attended from our district including ourselves (91st), 18th, 63rd & 209th who all were blended in with some 3000 other cubs into five subcamps which were all named after cornish castles, Tintagel, Launceston, Star, Pendennis & Trematon.

Each evening we were entertained by professional entertainers, these included:

Giant: Song, Stories & Improvisation
Far & Wide: Puppet Show with Stories
Bedlam Theatre Company: Cornish pirate stories &
plays
On the Wednesday evening after learning the circus skills, some of the cubs and leaders took part in a display with the Circus Entertainers
Finally on the Last Evening all the performers got together for a spectacular show and we finished the camp with a huge conga which took us to a massive fire work display.
