Biography

Mooks of Hazard started playing in May 2002.(Kirsten vocals, Bass, keys , Dunk-Punk Beatbox, Adam Vocals, Guitars). Playing acoustic clubs and open mic nights. This is where the similarity acoustic acts ends.. The Mooks play something between punk-skiffle and hip-hop. Its loud. Even though its not LOUD, it’s still loud.

Mooks influences include late Velvet Underground, Moldy Peaches, Beta Band, Beastie Boys and really cheesy hip-hop - no names Vannila Ice! Moving swiftly on to playing festivals and Universities in the south east – bigger stages and bigger audiences. Briefly joined by a drummer – who was good, but replaced by a sampler.

To listen to the Mook’s Skiff-Hop go to the Choons page. To see when they’re playing next Go to the Gigs page. To feel better about the ugly world around you go see the Photos page. For all other enquiries mail the Mooks
