Two reconstructed period rooms show the Almshouses in 1610 when first built and in 1850 when they were refurbished. From Summer 2000, it is hoped that the museum will comprise a small exhibition about the Almshouses: an introductory exhibition about Llanrwst: a graphic display about recent memories of Llanrwst with a showcase housing a display of personal momentoes and an oral history juke-box.
Directions:
The museum is situated in the centre of town, behind the Eagles Hotel and adjoining the Parish Church of St Grwst.
Open:
April to September 1000 – 1630 (re-opens Summer 2000. Please phone for opening dates).
November to March By appointment
Facilities: Disabled access to ground floor, toilets, refreshments/café, workshop/education room and garden.
