Welcome To Rising Fives!
Rising Fives is a registered charity which offers pre-schooling for children from 2 years 9 months until they go to school. Set up in 1972, we have a staff of nine and are attended by around 50 children from Whitchurch and the surrounding areas.
The pre-school is
OFSTED inspected and a member of the Pre-School Learning
Alliance. We also work closely with Whitchurch Church of England Primary School.
Rising Fives runs morning sessions from 9:15am - 12 noon every weekday. Afternoon sessions run from
1:00pm - 3:00pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 12:30pm - 3:15pm on Fridays (see below). Each child will start with two afternoon sessions per week, progressing to more sessions and mornings, subject to his or her needs. Children are expected to attend at least two sessions a week and our aim is to give each child a minimum of three sessions a week by the term before they start school.
A specialised music and movement session is run on Friday afternoons. This is available to both
morning and afternoon children and is
OFSTED inspected. The session runs from 12:30pm - 3:15pm and children bring their own packed lunch to eat at the beginning of the session. Younger children start at 1pm, after lunch to begin with.
