Rock Ola Princess (Model 1493) 1962

Just about the most compact floor-standing vinyl jukebox ever made!

The Rock-Ola Princess (Model 1493) from 1962 is understandably popular with collectors. With a curved dome glass and a visible mechanism, it’s diminutive size means that you can fit one almost anywhere!

Offering 100 selections with a fast changer and "automix" turntable, this machine is excellent for home use.

Restoration has included a full strip down and re-build. The cabinet has been veneered in white beech and all the chrome work re-plated. The amplifier has been completely re-built, using all new capacitors and new valves as required. A free play modification allows safe operation without coins, credit button or buzzing latch solenoid. The "automix" feature means you don't have to cut the centres out of your records - large hole or small hole it automatically adapts and plays them both. Converted to UK mains voltage and frequency by means of a safety isolating transformer, double pole mains switch, extra earthing and a turntable speed conversion. New lighting components, instruction windows, stylus and rubber turntable motor mounts complete the restoration.
