Malta Railway

The Malta Railway closed in 1931 and there are still various parts of the old railway to be seen today, Station buildings, Bridges and an old Railway carriage on display at Birkirkara. These pages were awarded Number One in the Top Ten Rated sites by Search Malta July 2002.

Rare visitors

During a railway dispute in 1982 Western Region trains were seen at Victoria and East Croydon and Southern Region trains (Thumper units !!) were seen at Paddington.I was travelling to and from Croydon and Paddington at the time and captured these rare sights on film.

The Palma to Soller Railway, Mallorca

No visit to Mallorca is complete without at least one trip on the SOLLER RAILWAY. Opened in 1912, Electrified in 1929. See my memories from July 2002 right now.

SFM The Mallorca Railway

There are two seperate Railways in Mallorca, the SFM diesel trains run from Palma to Inca and Sa Pobla with plans for further extensions. Compare these two Railways within these web pages.

The Zillertalbahn

Come with me to the Austrian Tirol and have a look at the wonderful narrow gauge Railway that runs from Jenbach along the Ziller Valley to Mayrhofen. See the Modern Diesel and the Steam operated trains in and around Zell-am-Ziller.

The Rodwell Trail

The Rodwell Trail follows the trackbed of the old Weymouth to Portland Railway, with Stations and Halts from Westham Halt to Rodwell, Sandsfott Castle Halt and Wyke Regis Halt, all have a BR Totem station sign proudly displayed on the platform.. Photographed in June 2007
