HALLILOO VALLEY, SEEN FROM PLANTATION LANE, WARLINGHAM, SURREY, ENGLAND |
||
Living in Warlingham has many benefits, a few minutes walk in a southerly direction will bring you directly to the countryside. There are many footpaths and country lanes that get you away from the hustle and bustle of suburbia. Take the Limpsfield Road and head out across Worms Heath towards Botley Hill, there are magnificent views across the hills where on a clear day it is possible to see St. Pauls Cathedral, London, Canary Wharf, Alexandra Palace and The London Eye (Wheel). Looking in another direction The Queen Elizabeth Bridge across The River Thames near Dartford can also be seen. Some of my favourite walks are around the lanes of Chelsham, Farleigh, Beddlestead, Tatsfield, Titsey and Woldingham, the view shown above is only a few minutes away from my home. Many varieties of Wild Flowers including Wild Orchids grow in the area. The Hurricane Storm of October 1987 caused much damage to the district and many new viewpoints appeared where trees had fallen. |

Please come on a trip around my local countryside, there is a lot to see. |
