Well known for the Shops, Bars, Cafes and Restaurants, and the terrific view of Valletta, across Marsamxett Harbour, especially when illuminated at night. Sliema has the long promenade known as The Strand. The Ferry to Valletta, and sightseeing boats leave from "The Ferries" area shown in this picture, Buses wait to take you to many parts of the Island. Manwel Dimech Street has a lot of local shops and continues on to Balluta Bay. Tower Road with views of the Mediterranean Sea takes you all along the coast past Spinola Bay to St Julians.
