Hull Material: Scratch Built using Styrene (a type of plastic) Sheeting
Plan: Of 'Lake Charles' from Taubman Plan Services in the U.S.A.
Model Length: 760 mm (30")
Build Time: To end of July 2001- total 51.5 hours
Progress: Pictures as of end of July 2001

Propulsion: Twin Propellers, with Six (6) Rudders
Electrics: Twin electric motors independently controlled with Electronize speed controls
Notes:  'Daisy B' is based on the plans for 'Lake Charles' which is a Hybrid Towboat being built for operating in rivers and coastal sea conditions, unlike a true Towboat it has raised "Bulwarks", "Water Tight" doors and hatch's, it can also "tow" in the conventional way.
Making it part Towboat part Tug, often called "Cajun- Boats".
I am building my model with strengthened towing (pulling) tow posts and reinforced Knees to use in "Tug Towing and Pushing" competitions.
I am using independent control of each motor and as 'Daisy B' has 6 rudders these will also be operated with 2 servo units giving a VERY manoeuvrable model. See my Towboat Rudders Page in Hints and Tips.
See my Towboat Page for more Towboat Information

Progress pictures, more will be added as the model advances
