List of Alterations to 'Al Khubar 3' when converted to 'Flat Holm'

This list refers to the alterations to the standard kit as supplied by Model Slipway and I am trying to use as much of the fittings etc that are supplied

REMOVED 2. Bulwark around Stern 3. 'D' Fendering on Hull 4. Port Side Superstructure Extension 5. Tow Hook Unit 6. Main 'H' Bits on Aft Deck 7. Tow Rope Guides (the ends of the guides at the bulwarks are still in place) 8. All Rubber Tyre Fenders 9. Capstan on Aft Deck 10. Lower Fixing Arms to Rudders (rudders are only supported at the hull)

Added or Altered These are the main items that have altered, with regard to the lower rudder supports I have built a new unit to support the rudders in the hull, but if you are not sure about altering this area leave the arrangement as per the kit. 1. Extension to Superstructure on Starboard Side 2. Container Type Instrument Room to Rear of Superstructure (over where the tow hook had been) 3. HIAB Seacrane 110 on Aft Deck 4. 'A' Frame at Stern 5. Two Winch's on Aft Deck near Crane (for use with 'A' Frame) 6. Cross Trees to Mast 7. Openings cut by Wheelhouse Door's to gain access to deck in front of Wheelhouse (port and Starboard) 8. New Anchor Winch 9. Scuppers Altered 10. Hull Lifting Units (Units on Aft Deck are positioned at the forward tow rope guide, unit at bow positioned over solid part between scuppers) 11. Bollards on Aft most Tow Rope Guides 12. Emergency Escape Hatch on Foredeck 13. Rudder fixing (this is optional the kit system work's very well) plus new shaped rudders 14. Strengthening Towing Positions for use in "Tug Towing Events". 15. Horizontal tubular rubber fender across stern 16. Vertical cylinder rubber stern fenders on stern 17. Flat rubber fendering along sides of hull using rubber strip supplied by Model Slipway (NOT in kit) 18. Two oval hatches in deck at stern (over rudder tubes) 19. Altering shape of port and starboard navigation light boxes 20. Moving position of Main Deck Vent (fig 33 Al Khubar plan) 21. Large 'D' type deck reinforcing across opening at stern 22. Wooden deck supports for 'Bed Levelling plough' at stern 23. Exhaust Stack (funnel), increasing degree of rounding of the back edge 24. Bilge Keels 25. New shaped Rudders ( the ones supplied with the kit are fine) 26. Different shaped cradles for Liferaft Containers 27. Made new longer style Liferaft Containers 28. Wheelhouse roof overhang increased and cut out formed for vertical ladder onto roof 29. New magnetic compass unit for wheelhouse roof
