Model Boats Magazine I have this magazine regularly, several of my models are from its plans - hulls collection.
   
Model Boat Magazine Plans new They stock the full range of Model Boat Magazine Plans.
   
Marine Modelling Another of my regular magazines, also has a large selection of plans etc.
   
Offshore Support Journal The OSJ is a great magazine, it specializes in Offshore Oil related vessels, available on subscription.
   
Sea Breezes The magazine for information on ships and the sea.

a2stainless Stigs Stainless Fasteners - Is based in the UK and a great source of Stainless Steel Fasteners of all sorts, including some of the more unusual thread types.
   
4D Modelshop An excellent model shop in London, near the Tower of London.
Stocking a very large selection of material and tools.
Also do custom etching and dry transfer lettering.
   
Beesleys Tools Stocking a wide range of tools, including 'Proxxon' & 'Dremel'. (I get my Proxxon saw blades from them).
   
Everything Airbrush new My main source for all my airbrush equipment & materials.
   
Folkestone Engineering A VERY good source of engineering metals and fasteners, with a mail order catalogue available. A lot of my metal comes from them.
   
Greenwood Tools A use their indexible tip tools on my lathe.
   
Lazertran Manufacturers of 'Slide On Transfer material that can be printed with an Inkjet printer, to enable DIY Decal production.
   
Peter Child Woodturning A specialist Woodturning shop, with a VERY GOOD mail order catalogue.

Caister Voluntary Lifeboat Service An independent Lifeboat Station with both Inshore & offshore boats, it is NOT part of the national lifeboat service (RNLI) in the UK.
   
Falkirk Wheel The only rotating Boat Lift in the World, I have seen it and it is definitely worth visiting.
   
FindTransport A web site with links to many types of transport including model boats.
   
International OSV Society I am a member of this Society, which is a group of model makers, specializing in vessels linked with the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry.
   
Liverpool Maritime Museum Has a collection of Ship Models.
   
Maritime History Detroit Maritime History Society of Detroit, which has a model builders section.
   
MPBA Model Power Boat Association, the main organizing body for UK model power boating.
   
The Tallship (at Glasgow) The 'Glenlee', is the only Clydebuilt windjammer still afloat in the UK. I have been aboard and can recommend a visit.

44ft Motor Lifeboats A great site to gather stacks of information on the WAVENEY Lifeboats and their US COASTGUARD versions
   
Ocean Tug and Barge Based in the U.S.A. They design and build various craft and I hope to build one of their more unusual vessels in the future.
   
Tug Spotting Web Site Based in the Netherlands.
   
Ships of the Mersey A very good picture site of mainly vessels in the River Mersey and the Manchester Ship Canal, includes lots of 'Tugs'.
   
Towboat Information:  
   
Towboat Joe Joe Brown is a Towboat Modeler with a very comprehensive site, full of information of the full size vessels and models. He also produces a large number of plans. My 'George F. Wills' Towboat is based on one of Joe's, and I have several more of his plans 'in stock'!.
   
Bill Alden  If you are interested in seeing what a Towboat looks like this is THE site to visit.
I have made extensive use of the pictures to see details of these unusual vessels.
Bill has photographed them from virtually every angle (except underwater).
   
Old River Bill A very large site devoted to all aspects of TOWBOATS by Bill Zumwalt. If you can not find information or a link about Towboats here it probably does not exist.
