My Digital Art........Alan Higgs

Hello......I'm Alan Higgs and I practice art on my puter.

Using a Wacom Pad instead of a mouse, with Painter Software, I draw and paint on my puter. It's brilliant to combine this with normal art.You can practice to your hearts delight without wasting paper or paint.

I am a mature student studying for an art degree, initially HND at Barnfield College and would like to exhibit my work, digitally and hard copy & possibly sit in occasionally and demonstrate using my note book puter.

With modern notebooks, puter art is not limited to sitting at a desk, one can paint on location.

Here is my portfolio of work executed this way

The above paintings were done for a project on a digital art internet forum I belong to, the subject was babies
I set out to apply the project to Lichtenstein Type, Japanese, Cubist and Traditional Art

The above 4 were experiments with face drawing from memory and getting different results

An experiment in flat images conveying emotion from the baby project.

(influenced by my printmaking)

Contemporary Art using puter techniques

Nude in digart

My right hand drawn on Wacom Pad

with left hand

(I'm right handed)

The above 7 were for a digart project to capture your hands, then feet, then both together

Experiment with pushing the paint around

Unfinished sketch of capturing folk from memory

Pen and wash of my house, 2nd from left

Three digital pieces done during the holidays in August.

The first one was my hand holding wine, the second a portrait from a photo and the third a cut glass Victorian Inkwell.

Anything can be acheived, landscape, still life, portraiture, printmaking, abstract.......it's just down to your imagination

Ere, ere, wots this......

greyscale work as well !!!

Most folk think of digital art as nothing, but all mediums are represented.

Some are illustrated above but you can combine them and work multi-media
