Hello, my name is Alan Higgs and I live in TODDINGTON, Beds, England I am a semi-retired Builder and enjoy ART, BANTAMS AND JAZZ DRUMS. I also play tennis, swim and go to Jazzercise. Toddington is 35 miles north of London and was once in the Guinness Record book for the village with the most Pubs. I live in the High Street and can walk to all 9 of them and wobble home :-) I paint in Oils and Acrylics and this web site is just great for illustrating these. My wife, Carole, is into gardening and house interiors. In 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000 & 2002 we opened our garden to the public in aid of the church (FamilyPic) I am continuing my Fine-Art Degree at Northampton University |

I have kept Bantams, plus lots of other poultry from time to time, for 26 years. In the end, I just specialised in my favourites, the Modern Game. It has been a rewarding hobby and have met some nice people from all over the world because of it. Again the net prescence has been good. When I started painting in 1995, the second picture I did was a bantam. I have now painted a whole set to illustrate the standards. |
