SKETCH BOOK

I'm just throwing this web site together for now, just to see how the images look. We will start with my sketch book. I think I got a little something from every place we visited. My new Pentel "brush-pen" worked wonders for extremely quick impressions. Others were done with soft pencils. The colour image was a tryout for my watercolour pencils

Two quick interior sketches, above a Cafe in the heart of Montmartre, we dined to tunes from a great piano player.

To the left, the whole group on the last evening in Chartiers

Nightlife

The nighlife was brilliant, after an all nighter to travel there the first night was just a meal in a nice restaurant. Thereafter we were more adventurous, Greek restaurants, Jewish restaurant for lunch on Wednesday, Chartiers on last night before a night trip up the Eiffel Tower and dancing in St Georges the last two nights until the early hours.

All taken in St Georges, St Germain area. A small jewish pub with a great cellar. Some taken naturally in poor light, some using infra red from mini DV still frame capture onto a memory stick.

They capture the atmosphere quite well.........smokey, noisy and alive with music and dancing !!!!

I've a great Video also...........1 hour long showing a little of every excursion. The weather was also very kind to us, bright sun every day. I think it will be a must again next year, there was just not enough time to spend in the Musees.
