This was a very tight site in the center of Bishops Stortford. Previously occupied by a tatty collection of shops and outbuildings, we replaced them with a smart new steel composite structure on a concrete raft. The front was blended in to match the adjoining properties. Problems on site came largely from the tricky fabrication required to fit into the existing site boundaries. A last minute request from the tennants to include a large opening for a feature staircase with steel on site caused a minor panic, but fortunately we managed to accomodate this change without having to take jackhammers to the completed structure. |
