Bernard Steamcobbler, dosser of the parish of Stupidtown, age uncertain, species uncertain, has been dossing for an uncertain number of years. The model for this wonderful character was a real person who is described in the article Dossers and my thanks go out to him in that great cardboard city in the sky (or at the bottom of the canal or wherever it might be).
