BPaint is a free bitmap graphics program written in Blitz Basic. It’s non-system friendly (as a result of being written in BB) so bear that in mind when downloading!
It’s geared toward 2D game graphics, and has a fair stack of tools. For a full run-down, take a look at the BPaint Docs.
BPaint is the program that I used to arrange the graphics for this site, along with my own Blitz Basic projects (including BPaint itself).
It’s supplied with the full source code and a copy of the documentation.
Please do mail me with any questions or comments! Although I now consider my work on this project to be done, I may yet add things to it. (Good ideas are always welcome!)
