PotPlat.

 

Potplat is the working title for a Blitz Basic Platform game that I’m working on.  Having finally produced a platform engine that I consider to be worthwhile, I’m now going to bolt a game on top!

 

There’s not a huge pile to say about it at the moment, in the meanwhile here’s a picture to look at, and if you’re keen you can download a little Demo of the engine.

 

Some things to bear in mind if you try it: 

 

·  If characters get “squashed” between two bits of scenery, they’ll behave oddly.  In the end, this’ll result in them getting killed.

 

·  The limit on the number of creatures is 6000.  This being a very early demo, it won’t stop you requesting more!  It’ll just start to go very wrong.

 

·  The attack has nothing to do with what it’ll end up being.

 

·  It’s designed to go at 60fps, and again as it’s very early code, it wont do any manual frame limiting.  Check out this document for extra info!
