Class HE low-sided wagons
|
In 1971 a total of forty-four redundant CXA class sheep wagons were used as the basis for HE class low-sided wagons. These were the last four-wheel low-sided wagons built for the W.A.G.R. The wagons involved in the conversion program were as follows: 94, 270, 395, 491, 707, 720/1, 843, 872/4, 1098, 1127, 1131, 1146, 1922, 2554, 3096, 6739, 7118, 7434, 10070, 10080/1, 11309, 11314/6/8, 11325, 11330, 12081/4, 12110, 12127, 12136, 40403/6, 40411/3/4/6 The number series includes wagons converted from ex M.R.W.A. vehicles in 40XXX series and also 7434 which, at least in theory, was a wooden framed CXA. It is very likely that 7434 and another CXA had in fact swapped identities at some stage. The class was written off as follows: |
