US built RA class open wagons
The RA class was built in two groups. Two hundred and fifty wagons were built by Oldbury Carriage and Wagon Co in the Britain whilst 60 wagons were built by Duluth Smith McMillan & Co in America. The American wagons were numbered 6210-6269 and were all delivered in 1903. Unlike the British built wagons they used diamond frame bogies. The earliest casualties were 6227 and 6267 written off in 1942. However, there were also some conversions in 1942 as nine wagons had their bodies removed to form class RAA. They were reconverted later in the war. The conversions were as follows:

I don't know if any of this group were involved in the re-bodying programme of the 1950's but I doubt it. Withdrawal of this class occurred as follows:
