In 1964 a GS class open goods wagon number 8726 was converted to carry a Hydrochloric acid tank. The sides were removed but it retained its ends.

 It was written off in 1972 and the tank transferred to another a similar chassis from a GST class open numbered 6620. This wagon was finally written off in 1982.
