In 1988 four RCH class wagons (24081 24129, 24224 and 24346) were converted to class QL flat wagons. In the same year a further three RCH class wagons (24198, 2428 and 24318) and two RCWs (24115 and 24121) were converted to class QD (the third group of wagons to use this code). In 1989 the four QLs also became class QD.
