This class of fifty -two wagons shows the increasing influence of American design practices on WAGR wagon design. They were introduced into traffic in 1963 (25001-5, 25007-20), 1964 (25006) and 1966 (25021-25052).

The class remained intact until 1981 when 25013 was converted to
class QUW. It was followed by 9 more wagons in 1983 (25004/7, 25016/9, 25025, 25033/5/8, 25049) when 25006 was also written off. In 1985 four wagons were converted to class QUG (25012, 25021/2, 25036) followed by another five in 1986 (25005/8, 25037/9, 25051). In 1996 numbers 25001-3/9, 25010/1/4/5/7/8, 25020/3/4/6-9, 25030-2/4, 25040-8, 25050/2 were written off.|
