Class FC louvred meat vans
|
The 17'-0" FA class steel louvre vans were re-built at some point with new wooden bodies. In 1936 ten of these vans were fitted with meat hooks and reclassified FC. A total of fifteen vans of this type was eventually reached. By 1960 they had all gone - presumably because they were superseded by the FDMs.
The picture at right is an enlargment of a Fretwell collection image showing an FA or FC at Boddalin in November 1928. |
