Welcome to my site about the Austin Allegro

Due to other commitments I do not have the time to develop this site the way I would like. The domain name www.austinallegro.net has expired and I have decided not to update this site. Hopefully you will find what is here is of interest. It is now hosted by Tiscali at www.lineone.net/~austinallegro.

The Allegro Club International is still going strong and provides excellent support for this great British classic.

I would like to thank all those enthusiasts around the world who have shared my interest in the Allegro.

Anthony Lewis, Birmingham, England

This site is no longer maintained (well there are times I will tweak it but don't expect anything major).

Cars and Parts

I used to be regularly contacted with details of Allegros needing a good home, normally I redirect sellers to the trader pages which provides some advice. The Allegro Club International advertise Allgros for sale both in thier magazine "Quartic" and on thier web site.If you looking for an Allegro check the trader pages and ACI sitet. Secondly check eBay.co.uk as some Allegros and parts etc is being traded here. One of the key benefits of joining the Allegro Club International is that it provides access to thier considerable supply of spare parts.

Austin Allegros

Since 1997 I have provided information about the Austin Allegro on my web site. I have had an interest in the Austin Allegro since first seeing it on launch day in 1973. I have owned a number of Austin cars over the years and I am a member of the Allegro Club International who also provided the basis of a brief history of the Allegro.

When providing a resource on the web I have taken account of what else about the Allegro is to be found and intend this site to complement other sources of information rather than duplicate it. In particular this is not an official site as far at the Allegro Club International is concerned but I aim to provide accurate and relevant information as a former club member.

I hope that you enjoy and find the content of this site useful.
