Heggemann Exhaust System
The tail pipes do hang down a little way but it will keep my belly cleaner! Not seen in the picture is the mounting for the tail-pipes. These are a couple of soft rubber mounts attached to the lower cowl behind the radiators. The tail-pipes (which are secondary mufflers) are attached to the rubber mounts with clips around the pipes.
So far I have only flown a few hours with the system but I consider the design to be confidence inspiring and durable, but only time will tell. Peter Holland, in Germany, has 150 hours on his system and tells me there have been no problems.
