Some guidelines for new members on how the Club operates.
We hope the following information will help you to enjoy yourselves at the club.
CLUB FACILITIES
The Kitchen
Available for use by club members. Ovens, microwave, crockery and cutlery are provided but please clean and tidy after use. Catering is provided for large open meetings and Thursday evening racing.
The Family Room
For use by all members and is the "eating and wet area" during sailing. A carpeted area with boxes of toys is provided for the little ones.

Keys
Keys for the front gate and clubhouse are available behind the bar for a nominal charge. Please make sure the gate is closed and locked behind you if visiting outside of the normal racing calendar
Car Parking
Please keep to non boat park areas.
Telephone
There is a pay phone in the entrance lobby for all to use.
First Aid
First Aid box and resuscitation unit are by the entrance to the gents toilet.
GENERAL
'Officer of the day' and rescue boats
Fleet Captains
Each fleet has a nominated person who looks after the interest of that class. See the 'rogues gallery' in the family room to see yours.
Bass Week
'Bass Week' is held the 1st. week in August and is a regatta where sailors and their families from far and wide come to the club for a week of sailing and socialising. We usually have over 100 boats on the water and 600 people staying on site in tents and caravans.
Camping Weekends
Caravans are only allowed on site on bank holidays and open meetings. Tents are also allowed on Saturday evenings when a weekend series is being held.
ANNUAL SOCIAL EVENTS
Spring Dinner
Held at the beginning of the season in the clubhouse, provided by outside caterers. Tickets sold near the time.
Bonfire Night
The nearest Saturday to November 5th. Light refreshments are usually available. We have a bonfire and suggest each family brings a couple of large fireworks.
Annual Dinner and Prizegiving
A dinner dance at a local venue where the seasons prizes are awarded and all members are welcome.
AGM
At the clubhouse on a Sunday afternoon in early December for club members,
Children's Christmas Party
Especially for the youngsters as Father Christmas arrives by boat! Fun and games provided but please bring a 'plate' of food for the tea e.g. sandwiches, cakes etc. Crisps and squash are provided by the club.
New Years Party
A 'Bring and Eat' party for the grown-ups at the club house. Please bring something savoury/sweet for the buffet table.
Other social events are held such as quiz nights, walks and barbeques. These are listed on this site and detailed in the handbook. Also watch the notice board.
