Question 1 We also need commitment beyond the 30% reduction to a 60 % reduction by 2050 at the latest. I would push for this to part of a sustainability plan Question 2 The re-cycling rate has stagmated , I would aim for a 75-80% re-cycling rate within 5 years and move towards a Zero waste policy in 15 years. Question 3 The council is not pushing for carbon nuetral housing at the western riverside, or even the highest environmental standards. It is a shame that Bath FOE was percieved to have supported the Crest Nicholson development. Thankfully it will hopefully go to public enquiry and FOE will be able to support a more visionary sustainable plan, with micro generation , car free and carbon nuetral Question 4 The first choice shopuld always be cycling and walking, at a push we should be busing children. This should be the last option . The green party would look to a flat rate initially for children everywhere, we do need to re-regulatre the buses. Question 6 This also relates to protecting the Green belt, and green spaces/corridors that allready exists. Only the green party has consitently argued for both
