1st Pontefract Scouts

We are currently seeking a three year sponsorship deal with a company that would like to be linked to one of the UK's largest and growing Scout centres in the UK. We need a 17 seat mini bus on lease hire for three years paid for by the sponsor, that will include fully comperhensive insurance for driver at the centre (with full licence), tax, maintenance services and must have a tow ball for towing the trailers. The mini bus will be used to transport young people from outlining areas to the centre each day that have poor public transport (most areas these days!) It will also be seen at various venues from London to Madrid as the Scout Centre takes it's young people out to major International events where it's likely to be seen by thousands of people in one day at some events.

It will be seen at many major events, such as the Great Yorkshire Show, BCU Kayaking competitions with our new junior kayaking club, rallies, NEC Brimingham.
It's also highly likely to be seen in various European cities such Paris, Madrid, as well as many UK cities as 1st Pontefract Centres spreads it's international wings to the world

1st Pontefract Scout Centres strength is in it's amazing opportunities it offers its young people which include many European expeditions it's offered over the years. However we would like to break through our European boundaries and take the Scouts and it's leaders much further afield such as the USA, Canada, Australia, India, Africa etc. But our Scouts are from normal hard working families who's budgets can not in many cases run to the cost of such expeditions. This is where we need a help and cash boost into a major foreign expedition. To give a company or individual an idea of money needed to take 20 Scouts to Australia we need in excess of 20k

PLEASE, donate to 1st Pontefract Scout Group. We have been helping the young people in Pontefract and surrounding areas for over forty years. We currently have active Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Scout sections, open to both boys & girls in the area. We offer a wide range of activities such as climbing, abseiling, canoeing, football, cricket, caving, wide games, walks, camping, sailing, construction, district events with other groups, community projects and much more!

Unfortunately, to provide all these activities and keep the building in good order we are in constant need of funding. We currently raise money through local fundraising events such as tombolas jumble sales tuk shop, bag packs etc.

You too can now help from the comfort of your own home no matter where you live by donating to 1st Pontefract Scout Group. Don't worry if you can only afford to give little, it all helps. Every penny donated will go towards 1st Pontefract Scout Centre. 1st Pontefract Scout Group is a registered charity (Charity number: 524786).
