Lochee United defeated Bathgate 3-1 in the Scottish cup. Lochee United have been drawn at home to Buckie Thistle in the second round.

Tayport manager Iain Jenkins has resigned. Tayport have had a poor start to the season, and sit bottom of the Superleague with only one point from 4 games, that point coming from the draw against Whitburn. ha had been in the post for only three months.

The Scottish (senior) cup first round draw has resulted in the following ties for the junior clubs who earned the right to participate by winning their various competitions last season.

Lochee United v Bathgate

Pollok v Spartans

Banks o' Dee v Fort William

The other tie involving a "junior" club is Huntly v Girvan

The league cup semi finals will be Newtongrange v Whitburn and Camelon v Linlithgow.

Games will be played on Wednesday 27th August.

Camelon were the subject of a protest by Bo'ness for fielding an ineligible player in an earlier game. Unfortunately for Bo'ness their Protest was thrown out because they failed to complete the paperwork correctly.

Bonnyrigg have appointed Alan Millar as their manager to replace Pat Glynn who resigned last week. Glynn resigned after a heavy defeat by 7 goals to 1 against Newtongrange in a pre-season friendly.
